Q. How do I do a resume’?

A. Go to file, new, templates on my computer, other documents, resume’ wizard, then follow the wizard’s step by step instructions.


Q. Can I save it without putting it on disk?

A. Yes, you can save it to your documents folder. Instead of going to file and save, you would use file, save as. From there, chose the name of the folder that you would like to save it in.


Q. How do I import a table into a document?

A. From the toolbar click table, insert, and then table. This should import a table that you can edit.


Q. Where is my other toolbar?

A. To find hidden toolbars, go to the toolbar and click on view, then toolbars. From there chose which toolbar you would like displayed by checking it. The default toolbars should be checked and that’s the standard and formatting toolbars which appear at the top of your document.


Q. How do I print a document?

A. There are two ways that a document can be printed. You can click in the toolbar on the printer or you can go to file then print. From file you may also preview your document before printing. However, if using the printer icon on the toolbar, you don’t have this option.


Q. What happens if I change something that I didn’t want changed?

A. On the standard toolbar there are two arrows, one curving over to the right and one to the left. The arrow to the left is the undo arrow. The arrow to the right is the redo arrow. If something needs to be undone, simply click on the left arrow to have the error undone. You can continuously click until all errors are undone.


Q. How can I get a word or phrase underlined?

A. In the formatting toolbar, there is a U that is underlined. Highlight the word or phrase that needs to be underlined, click on the Underline icon.


Q. How do I print envelopes?

A. From the standard toolbar, click on tools, letters and mailings, envelopes and labels, then fill in the addresses and print that document.


Q. How do I print labels?

A. From the standard toolbar, click tools, letters and mailings, envelopes and labels, then chose the type of labels you have. From that screen, you should be able to fill in labels as needed. This document can also be saved and resumed later.


Q. How do I create a list with bullets?

A. A bulleted list can be created by clicking on the formatting toolbar on the bulleted icon.


Q. How do I make the assistant go away?

A. Click help, then hide office assistant. Or you can simply right click on the office assistant and click hide.
